My name is Bethany, and I live in Birmingham, Alabama, with my wonderful husband, four-year-old daughter, two-year-old son, and newborn daughter. Ever since I was little, I have had a hunger to know God’s Word. The little details, the minute stories, the lists of commands: His Word fascinated me, and I wanted to know more.
But as I grew in my faith and my relationship with the Lord, this knowledge started to mean more than just right answers to Bible trivia. In college, a faithful mentor taught me how to study God’s Word for more than head knowledge but mind renewal. His Word affects every area of my life—what I thought, what I felt, what I believed, and what I did.
I started to see the truths of God’s Word come alive in the small moments of my life, and I wrote it down. This blog is the testimony of God’s word dwelling richly in my life, showing how everything can be done in His name.
From my job as an associate professor of marketing to my role as the mother of three beautiful children. From my love of baking to my love of reading. From watching Brooklyn 99 with my husband to playing our favorite board game Spendor with friends. From opening up a good novel to reading a thick volume on theology. Everything, I’ve come to realize, is impacted by my view of how God and his Word is at work in my life and his world.
